Introducing Redline Review: AI-Powered Counter-Redlines in Minutes
Redwood now reads every tracked change the other side made to your contract, flags what's unfavorable, and hands back a fully redlined counter-proposal as a Word document.
We're excited to announce Redline Review, a new Redwood capability built for the moment a contract comes back from the other side full of tracked changes.
Evaluating a marked-up contract clause by clause is slow even for a trained lawyer, and it's where a lot of founders and small business owners quietly lose ground. Thirty-plus edits from opposing counsel can bury a handful of real landgrabs among routine corrections, and without the time or the background to tell them apart, it's easy to accept changes that shift risk onto you. Redline Review closes that gap.
How Redline Review Works
- Open a marked-up contract already sitting in your Repository, or upload one directly.
- Ask Redwood to take a look — something as simple as "Can you review their changes and redline it for me?"
- Redwood reads the whole document, works out which party you represent, and goes through every tracked change individually.
- It separates real fixes from real problems — scrivener's errors and neutral corrections are left alone, while clauses that quietly worked against you (shortened cure periods, one-sided termination rights, uncapped fees) get pushed back to fair, market-standard terms.
- You get the full reasoning and a ready-to-send file: a plain-English breakdown of every clause it changed and why, plus a Word document with the counter-redlines applied as real, native tracked changes. Your original upload is never touched.
Why We Built This
The redline is where negotiating leverage actually gets exercised, and it's exactly where unrepresented founders and small business owners are most exposed. One unchecked change to a termination or indemnification clause can outweigh everything else in the agreement. Redline Review applies the same clause-by-clause scrutiny an experienced attorney would, in the time it takes to read the summary.
